Get Involved — Volunteer!

When adults volunteer, all students & staff benefit! There are many opportunities for

parents and community members to get involved at Carter!  Your help is needed!

Please email Info@CarterPTO.com if you would like to sign up!

We are looking for grade-level parent liaisons!

Parent liaisons are vital in helping PTO with assessing

the needs & wants of each grade level. We hope to have 2-4 liaisons for each grade,

with at least one person from each grade attending the monthly PTO general meeting.

All meetings & communication will be done virtually at this time.

If you sign up...

You are making a commitment to help the teacher team for

a designated grade level communicate their needs & ideas directly to PTO.

Giving more attention to the teachers & parents of that grade level

while improving communication for specific fundraisers, events & field trips.

We are looking for help with applying for grants!

We are a 501 (c)3 non profit and would like to increase the number of grants we apply for locally, as well as outside of our area and state. No grant experience is needed.

If you sign up...

You are making a commitment to help look for grants online, notify the executive board of any potential grants we may qualify for and will be asked to complete the application for PTO.

When we begin in-person events again

we will place the volunteer links here!*no active link yet!

Child Abuse Mandated Reporting

In 2014, Governor Jerry Brown signed AB 1432 (Chapter 797, Statutes of 2014).
This new law went into effect on January 1, 2015, and requires California school districts to
annually train mandated reporters on their child abuse reporting obligations under the law.

Volunteers: Mandated Reporter Training is an additional "clearance"

that needs to be done by all volunteers BEFORE being approved.

Although Volunteers are not mandated reporters, it is a requirement of the district to train all volunteers.

An email will be sent, 3-5 business days after the volunteer submits/renews their application,

with a link and username to access a 32-minute training video. Check your spam folder as well.
